Kultur 1

I found this article very surprising in the fact that German has so much influence throughout America.  Me, being born in Michigan, have much exposure to German-American culture including family ties.  Yet, I did not know the extent of German culture and influence in America.  The amount of influence Germans had in Broadway and movies is very cool and interesting.  It's strange to think that "Bambi" is actually native to Germany.  Things like Oktoberfest have now been nearly assimilated into American culture.  Oktoberfest is now a widely know event in America and is definitely identified with the German-American culture.  German culture is clearly evident pretty much anywhere in America and it still exists today.
