German Soccer

For this AMD assignment I decided to read up on some German soccer. The German National soccer team has a reputation for being one of the top national teams in the world each year. They have won three World Cups and three European Championships. The women's national team has also had international success. They have won two women's World Cups. Perhaps the most notable national team coach was Franz Beckenbauer. He led West Germany to their third World Cup victory in 1990 in their third consecutive final game appearance. One of the most notable national players is Oliver Kahn. Oliver Kahn was the German national goalie for many years and led the team to alot of success. When the German national team players aren't playing in international games they play for club teams, most of them in Germany. This league is called the "Bundesliga". One of the best teams in the Bundesliga is Bayern Munich. I'm sure all the players say "Ich spiele gern FuBball".
