Make-up AMD 3

For my third installment in this four part series, I did some research on a band formed in Germany called the Scorpions. The band was started by a guitarist by the name of Rudolph Schenker. The first group had him playing rhythm, his younger brother Michael playing lead guitar, and Klaus Meine as the vocalist. The band broke up for a little bit due to Michael leaving for the lead guitarist job for a british band by the name of UFO while the band was still touring. Uli Roth, came along top fill in Michael's place to finish out the rest of the tour. Uli decided to not join the Scorpions permanently and stayed in his old band called Dawn Road. Rudolph later joined Dawn Road, and so did Klaus Meine. The band changed their name to the Scorpions because it was already well known around Germany. During their rise to fame they went through a few different drummers, but eventually left their permanent mark on the world of metal with singles like "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "Love at First Sting". During the 80's MTV gave them large amounts of Airtime, and gave the band the nickname the Ambassadors of Rock.  They still are making music today, and in their newest project, revealed by Klaus Meine in a recent interview, you wll be able to experience the Scorpions in 3D. They are still preforming shows and recording albums and have yet to show any signs of retiring, making the band 47 years old. (1965-2012)
