Naturally, I read the article about sex. The title lists three of my favorite things (Beer, sausage, and sex) and I couldn't resist but to read more. Unfortunately, there wasn't all that much about beer or sausages for my liking, but the description of sex shops in Germany fascinated me.
Both the commonness and the openness of German sex shops surprised me, as that is essentially the antithesis of the notion of sex shops here. It made me wonder what the overall German view on sex in general is, and whether or not it is as taboo as it is here in America. With so many sex shops all over the place, there is bound to be a more public attitude about sex, and that must effect the nature of the act itself, or at least conversations about it.
