I find it very strange that cyclists have the right of way over pedestrians. I'm very accustomed to here, in Ann Arbor where one expects the cyclist to go around the pedestrian. Even stranger is the idea that a pedestrian must actually obey the walk/stop lights. I cannot imagine actually waiting out the entire light every time I wanted to cross the street. The idea that cars would actually speed up is quite frightening. I also read the article on nudity in Germany, and that too is a strange cultural difference. Just today I used the restroom in the locker room at the gym and found an elderly lady half nude... It was quite uncomfortable as well as unusual for me.
