These culture texts were very interesting to read and they brought to light many stereotypes of the German people that I didn't know about.  The staring I find strange and rude probably because I'm so used to staring being not polite because really no one likes being stared at.  Also, the complaining I feel is most likely an exaggerated stereotype of the Germans.  Although, the blunt honesty of the Germans is something I very much admire.  It annoys me that in America politeness trumps honesty in every circumstance.
