AMD 4
For this AMD I researched one of my father's favorite German writers, Johan Wolfgang von Goethe. He is considered the genius of moder German literature. Throughout his life he was a conservative and remained skeptical that the masses could successfully govern the nation. He was also an avid biologist, and his writings on morphology and homology were later used in the famous writings of Charles Darwin. When he was younger, he thought he would one day become a famous painter, but later after many of his works had been published he thought he would be best known for his work on te theory of colours, which is a theory about how different people perceive different colors. His influence spanned all across the globe, and his theory about primary colors inspired Francisco de Mirando to make the colors on the flag of Gran Colombia red, yellow, and blue.
