I found it very interesting that the Traffic laws in Germany are so strict. I thought about what it would be like if the pedestrians here were not allowed to walk across the street whenever there was even the slightest opening. It really would take me a lot longer to walk to class having to wait for the "walk" signal.   I think it seems most surprising because of the extreme differences we have here. At home it didn't seem like people crossed the road whenever they felt like it, but come to think of it, I crossed with a red light more often that a walk signal. Here in ann arbor there are just so many more people that it magnifies the situation.
